This is the third video that Dave Brooks has
done. Read the
first and second review. I
have reviewed the other two and think that this one is the best.
What I like about these videos is that they show real world
bowhunting in the Australian Bush.
This is not one of those videos where a hunter goes to a
private hunting reserve and hunts animals that have never been
hunted. He is hunting
private land, but it is a self-guided hunt.
This video takes you from the drive there to
the care of the deer after the shoot.
Australia is like the USA in that it is divided into states,
and each state makes game laws for that state.
Like hunting in the US, you need to know the laws of the
state you are hunting in. Dave
talks a little about hunting laws for hunting feral deer.
As the name of the video suggests, it is about
hunting deer in the snowy mountains.
The trip takes place in open woodlands while hunting feral
deer. The property is a
working cattle ranch. The hunt happens during the rut and there is a
lot of video of rutting activity.
Like his other videos, he has a lot of tips for
camping and off-roading. He also has some segments on different
aspects of his trip. There is a really good segment about how to
make your own knife. He
also talks about what he has done to his truck to make it better for
getting him where he wants to go.
I would defiantly recommend this video to anyone who loves seeing good hunting video. It is a good video of real world hunting. Here is the link for bushman’s web page.
