We received a package in the mail today for our first review of a bow hunting product made by Bow Hanger. The product is the Single Bow Hanger that Bow Hanger promotes as the all in one bow hanging system. They say "this is the fastest most versatile hanger you'll ever use!". When you open the box you will see two well made heavy metal pieces.
The two pieces come apart for easy transport. I have found carrying it in your blind or chair bag is a easy way to get it into the woods. This is a bow holding system. The top piece has a screw end that can be screwed into the tree as you hunt. When you are not hunting, the two pieces can be put together for your shooting range or for use in a blind. To assemble insert the top piece into the bottom piece which is held in place buy an easy to use set screw.
When the two pieces are together they can be used either at the range or in your blind as you hunt. The bottom half has an end that makes the bow hanger easy and fast to drive into the ground. The heavy construction makes placing it into the ground very easy and secure. The system drives into the rocky soil that we have in New England very easily.
This system is a very secure way to hold your bow in the ready to shoot positions. This product held up my bow without constant readjustment. This system will hold any bow on the market. It screws into trees very easily. The one thing I didn't like about it is there is no bend in the top half. There is no way to adjust the bow holder after you get it into the tree.
Overall I would say as a bow holder for the range there is no better. For hunting out of a blind it will do a great job. Considering that the product is made of heavy metal construction it is not a lot of weight to carry into the woods. It is easy to carry with your blind or chair bag.
I would give this bow hanging system a four and a half out of five broad heads.
I would strongly suggest this product for any archery range. This system is very well made. The holder works well in a blind and at the range but it is difficult to use in a tree stand. Bow Hanger also has many other systems that can meet the needs of archers.
